In 1985, in obedience to God’s calling, Pastor Lee founded Cornerstone Ministries International, a missionary organisation devoted to reaching regions where the gospel is severely restricted. Since its founding, Cornerstone has carried out mission work in North Korea, China, Mongolia, Russia, the Middle East, and Israel.

As President of Cornerstone Ministries International, Pastor Lee focuses especially on training North Korean Christian workers along the North Korea–China border through biblical teaching. His ministry supports the planting of underground churches inside North Korea and the raising of indigenous Christian leaders. He is also actively involved in mobilising churches and mission conferences worldwide to deepen awareness of and engagement in North Korean missions.
